you again

is it possible to be so excited over a city you cant seem to fall asleep? its 6.05am and im wide awake. my thoughts are filled with melbourne, melbourne and melbourne. the streets, the food, the cafe, the people, the air, things i can do, memories, things i have done, moments that have happened, and moments waiting to happen when i'm gonna be there next month.

it has been 2 years and a little more, and i'm finally returning, to my favourite city in the world. melbourne is always buried deep inside me, i dont wanna look at it because it hurts that i cannot be there, but when i know i can finally unearth it, i get so excited it makes me excited i can be so excited over something.

i wanna just live like a normal person in the city. i wanna go to the gym, i wanna go for paul and rachel's classes, i wanna buy a take away sushi from sushi sushi and munch away walking. i wanna drink as many cups of coffee as my stomach and wallet can afford, i wanna just have a moment, a movie moment in the perfect city in my little universe.

i wanna eat my favourite thai food at ying thai and have a fredo ice cream after, even though i think fredo is overrated. i wanna walk past my old home on orr street and remember the many cold nights i walk home in my gym shorts hoping one day i will be skinny and life will change for me.

i wanna go to the casino half drunk and make some money, i wanna go to hungry jacks and eat a 3am meal. i wanna take a bite in golden gay time, my favourite ice cream from 7-11. i wanna text qing yi tomorrow to entice her to follow me back to melbourne.

i cant wait to go back to my favourite city, because because, because its a part of me i left behind and can't wait to revisit.

tucked away in a street off lygon, this is apparently the real deal for pizza. sibling cafe of carlton espresso, this place is usually full house during dinner time. pizza wasn't fantastic for me but qq's a big fan. took home most of it for supper :p ;p

it was 5pm and we were determined to have breakfast. ended up at brunswick st and found a pub/food place. wasn't expecting it to be great but it turned out pretty well. i'm still updating about Melbourne because i have zero new photos of sg. lol

in Melbourne, if you wanna eat breakfast, it is a must to reach the place(most of them) before 3pm if not their kitchen will close and all you're left with will be coffee and cakes. it was a rainy day, we had no luck with breakfast and settled with cakes here. i think we had meatballs at ikea in the end.

a fan of big breakfast for sure. it was a random day, but a really happy one. we drove around, ate a little too much, and just talked about frivolous crap.

so it seems that i can't escape from thinking about Melbourne. it is just everywhere i go. i was working out at the gym and the tv had to advertise junior masterchef. and of course every single attack/combat lesson i do my heart is with melbourne central. i tell myself to kick a little higher and punch a little harder as though i represent melbourne central FF and thats my school, its so silly i know. but it works, i will always end up jumping a little higher with such happy thoughts. so after gym i caught the movie no strings attached. its quite a nice frivolous movie, but they played songs, my melbourne songs! whats with all these aussie bands making it into hollywood movies, they must be pretty damn good. (yes they are) ok i only listen to little red and the temper trap, but both their songs were played in the movie! rock it by little red and love lost by the temper trap. i love these 2 songs. i know i'm not going back there anytime soon, i think, but i miss it, and i block it out, but sometimes, i still miss it.

for one more day

it has been a week since i got back but i have not taken a single photo. i miss Melbourne, i'm in love with a city haha. i went to the gym for the past 2 days and it has been nothing but disappointment. i miss going to the gym in Melbourne. the thought of going back pops up in my head like 500 times a day. i need to be sure though, because i don't want to go back there to realise that i'll rather be here, cause that will be really screwed up.

 this was SO BAD, the worst breakfast in Melbourne. SO BAD. the sausage was half raw. bacon was old, egg was cold, bread wasn't toasted properly, and they gave me 1 mushroom, 1.

 the waitress asked if i was full because i didn't finish the breakfast, i said 'yeah', but i hopped over to the cafe beside it after to have a ham n cheese croissant and a latte! it was that bad.

caught spring awakening! the other day. it wasn't fantastic but entertaining to a certain extent. 

loving my last few weeks in aussie, just started packing a while ago, already a little sad that i'm gonna leave this country. but who knows? maybe its not goodbye but see you later.
